Summer Concert Video Dump: Broken Social Scene, Panda Bear, Toubab Krewe, Benevento-Russo Duo, Flaming Lips

It has been a pretty damn good summer for concerts, so I thought I’d post a few video highlights …

Broken Social Scene in Central Park
“Superconnected” (don’t miss the guitar/sax solo duel)

“All to All” (just beautiful, even without Feist on vocals)

~~

Panda Bear on Governor’s Island
“Tomboy” (it’s out there, but totally original. As I said in my full Live Music Blog review, is there anybody else that sounds like this?)

~~

Toubab Krewe @ Brooklyn Bowl
“Lamines Tune” (white boy West African groove music; lots of fun)

~~

The Benevento Russo Duo @ the Highline Ballroom
“One Rainy Wish” (a jazzy, acoustic cover of a great but underrated Jimi Hendrix tune)

~~

The Flaming Lips @ Summerstage, Central Park
“I Can Be A Frog” (Wayne Coyne is a nut; this seems like it would go over well at summer camp)
